Equality at MLU

For the past, we would like to refer to the brochure "Looking back forward. Women's studies in Halle – then and now".

The brochure traces the development of women's studies at MLU and presents a number of important female scientists who stood up for their interests despite much resistance.

The brochure is online retrievable. Printed copies can be requested free of charge from the office.

The brochure was created in 2014 as a joint project between Maike Lechler and the Equal Opportunities Office. As a student, Maike Lechler undertook research in the university archives and approached the Equal Opportunities Office with an extensive fund of interesting, informative, sometimes bizarre but above all new archive materials. Many thanks to Maike Lechler, whose commitment has closed a gap in the university's history.
