Achievements

Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is on the right track in terms of equality, but it is far from reaching its goal. And without an equal opportunities officer, it would be quite a bit further behind.
The Equal Opportunities Officers of MLU can count themselves as successes, among others:
- Formulation of a "Mission Statement Gender Equality"
- Supporting numerous people to their concerns and influencing countless decisions,
- Structures and measures for the prevention of and intervention in the event of misconduct [sexism, sexualised harassment and violence (sBG), bullying, abuse of power], e.g. issuing a guideline and setting up the Prevention and Counselling Centre for Anti-Discrimination > Topic Page
- Offers for the promotion of academic staff, e.g. networking and assistant resources, coaching and mentoring > Diversity and Equal Opportunities Unit
- Structures and offers for reconciling studies/work and education/care > Family Office
- Structures and offers on gender in research and teaching/education, e.g. initiation of the gender*bildet - Network Office for Gender Research and Teaching, Gender Studies in the Profile of MLU (University Development Plan 2024) and annual Nationwide Day of Gender Research
- Participation in the acquisition of third-party funding for gender equality measures/gender equality projects, e.g. Female Professors Program , MINT-Zi, FEMPOWER
- Participation in the brochure "Looking back to the future. Women's studies in Halle – then and now"
