Note on the acronym INTA*/WINTA*
INTA* stands for inter*, non-binary, trans* and agender people, the preceding W stands for women.
The acronym is based on the acronym FLINTA* for women, lesbians, inter*, non-binary, trans* and agender people. This acronym originated historically and refers, among other things, to the links between struggles against discrimination on the basis of gender and sexual orientation.
The work of the Equal Opportunities Officer at MLU focusses on gender. Work is being done to systematically consider other forms of discrimination (> intersectionality). However, these are not addressed independently of gender. In order to make this transparent, the L is omitted.
